Our small K-8 school is located in the rainforest near the summit of Kilauea Volcano. Our students go to class surrounded by hapu'u ferns, ohia trees, and 'apapane birds. Kilauea Volcano is beautiful, but our students have some obstacles facing them every day. Many of my students live over an hour away from school and get up at 5:00am or earlier just so they can enjoy our small class sizes and individual attention. Our school is a Title I school. Many of my students do not have internet access at home. Some do not have running water or electricity at home. We appreciate your help with our Donors Choose projects!
