My students are primarily nonverbal, and I teach grades 3-5. Some of my students are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and have difficulty expressing their wants and needs. As some are nonverbal, communication devices are necessary for them to have a voice. While I provide them with many visual supports, an iPad would be ideal for instruction for them to be able to respond to my questions and the iPad would verbally display their choice.
