My kids are the average "Molokai kid". They love the outdoors, love to help and learn new things, learn best on the job, they may struggle with their core subjects like LA, Math, Science, and Social Studies; but every single one of them is capable of learning. Many of our students experience the same struggles of home we once did; sometimes these things makes being motivated in school difficult. We try our best to provide our kids with hands on learning opportunities...we don't have much, but make the best of what we have as far as resources and are always looking for ways to do better. We have an awesome bunch of teachers who are willing to build into their curriculum activities that can help to motivate our students. Our school has limited electives due to being a small school. One thing that students wish we had here is a culinary program.
