My students are a very active group with a wide range of exceptionalities, skill levels, and accommodations. All of them require frequent prompting throughout each academic area to remain on task, reassurance of skill knowledge, and/or repetition of tasks in order to acquire new skills. Most of my students receive both Speech and OT services due to articulation, pragmatic, and/or fine motor difficulties. Fortunately, I work at a school were most of my students have access to technology at home. However, not all of my students do. At least 20% of my class does not access a computer at home. Meaning that the development of their ability to independently use technology is heavily dependent on their access to devices at school.
