My students are amazing fourth graders. They love learning and are full of questions. Each day they come in smiling and ready to learn, and excited about acquiring knowledge and skills. Daily they strive to do their best work, despite the challenges many of them encounter. Our school is in a wonderful community that supports education, however there is a lot of poverty. All of the students in our school have a free breakfast and lunch. Having the ability to research answers to their own questions is a powerful tool. My students know that education is the key to working to have a successful future. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela's quote inspires me as I teach.
