The majority of my students come from low-socioeconomic backgrounds and attend a Title I school in south Louisiana. With that being said, many of our students are faced with atypical situations outside of school and with a little love, motivation and dedication, our students can succeed. I only teach my students English- Language Arts, and I could see the looks of frustration as they walk into my room. Most of my students lack confidence in themselves, because all they have ever known was failure. Most of them do not have parents at home that push them to their highest potential, because they are working extra just to make ends meet. This makes every second that they are in my classroom crucial. I utilize every second in my classroom with instructional activities to help my students reach success.
