I serve a population of students in 7th and 8th grade in a small middle school setting. The students who attend this school are expected to maintain a high level of academic achievement and are also expected to meet behavioral and social standards. The students experience high levels of stress and anxiety regarding family and school expectations. The students are seeking a place where they feel comfortable and are dealing with many pressures on them at all times. When they come to see me they are dealing with issues that are incredibly complex and I help them develop skills to express themselves.

About my class
