Students have access to a light table in our classroom everyday as part of their play exploration. At this time we have only one item for the students to explore on the table, which has limited the students usage of this tool. Many of our students in the classroom have special needs in the areas of fine motor, math, and literacy. The materials selected in this project will allow a rotation of play materials and address many areas of learning in an exciting and engaging way. The pegboards, blocks, and Magna-Tiles will address fine motor needs. The light table accessory sets will allow for both literacy and math skills to be explored. The X-rays and specimens will allow for literacy and science to be enhanced during our studies. This request will ensure all students including special needs to grow in their skills through an exciting light medium.
