We are a 2nd grade classroom in a Title 1 school. The students are energetic and feel proud when they accomplish new tasks. We love reading interesting stories together and on our own. I teach reading through readers workshop so we have a read-aloud every day, sometimes more than once a day. Then the students read from book tubs on their own practicing skills that were taught during the read-aloud.
