I teach at a large school that is a part of the International Baccalaureate program. My students come from many different walks of life, and for some of them my classroom is a safe haven. My students are working hard to form a community of filled with acceptance. Many of them are learning how to succeed without letting learning challenges define them. We embrace movement and brain breaks as a way to help all students stay on task, remain focused, and find outlets to express themselves.
