As the school social worker in an inner city school with daily violence, I am challenged to help our students develop the necessary coping skills to not only succeed in school but to also cope with the dangers that surround them in their neighborhood. My students are elementary and middle school age children who often see things at home that cause them anxiety and stress. Sadly, many of these students then have to cope with bullying at school.

About my class
