My classroom is packed with 35 students that are grouped to promote collaboration. These students are of various backgrounds and economic status. I feel privileged to teach this large group of students because every one of them contribute to the positive classroom environment in which we work hard to maintain. I would say my class has a high energy level. They love it best when we read books and share their writing projects. They especially love science projects and demonstrations! They respond well to hands-on math activities. I just changed districts and I'm working at a different school with limited technology resources, and a small budget. The idea of having a document camera in my class would provide me and the students with an innovative tool that would allow for better engagement with all the students simultaneously. From the first row of students to the very back row, the impact on each student would be equally effective.
