In our dynamic, inclusion-based classrooms, I work together with the general education teachers to meet the needs of all of our students. In addition, our classroom model encourages each of our diverse learners to learn and grow as leaders, while maintaining high expectations for all. We engage in collaborative team teaching and small group interventions, while providing differentiated supports according to the need of each student. My students are motivated, creative thinkers in our classroom. Our students work and play together throughout the day, while they build and maintain friendships, reducing the stigma of special education. The Cleveland Metropolitan School District services the second poorest students in the country, following Detroit. Nearly 100% percent of our students come from low-income households. Please help us purchase the supplies and supports they need to be successful.
