Imagine yourself being a learner trying to understand the phenomenon of how a two way mirror works. Reading about this phenomenon at times builds misconceptions, but interacting with a one way mirror, and investigating HOW it works deepens your understanding of science concepts like transmission, absorption and reflection! To accomplish this, I need battery operated flashlights to allow the students to interact with the one way mirror. Students use the flashlights to collect data (using light meters) on how the one way mirror allows a reflection to occur in one side, but not the other.
