This year we created a school garden. The shovels will help students care for the garden by allowing them to dig holes for planting, turn compost, spread compost in the garden, and dig up weeds. We've recently integrated a new STEM based science curriculum into our daily learning. One of our units focuses on plants. To explore and make this unit most meaningful, we've started a school garden. Students are learning about the life cycle of plants, composting, where food really comes from, and most importantly teamwork! Please help us grow more than just plants! We have hopes of growing this garden from just a school garden to a community garden where neighborhood families take part in the planting and care of the garden.
