I teach in a large rural school district. Many of the kids I work with arrive at school with very little experience of English at home and it is my job to help them catch up with their classmates as quickly as possible. We are a 'low-incidence' English as a Second Language district - we have relatively few English Language learners. I am the sole ELL teacher and for three out of the four years I have worked here I have had a budget of precisely $0 for teaching materials.

About my class
