I teach 24 5th grade students in Hampton, Georgia. Our school has mixed demographics. They are eager and charismatic learners who enjoy fun and engaging lessons. I am trying to motivate them to read more by finding quality books that relate to what we are learning in Science and Social Studies. I believe this would be a great way to study literary elements while making connections to content. Our school offers a lot of resources, but our selection of books for the upper grades could used a boost.
