The students on the basketball team are our model students at our school. They have to keep up their academics to play on the team. That is not the same for a lot of the teams in our area. It is the only sport we offer so they look forward to it every year. We are from a very low socioeconomic area in North Philadelphia. Money has not been spent on athletics in our school in nine year and there is no money in the budget for it this year. Players parents and myself can not afford to properly equip the team on our own. These jerseys are need in order to compete in the middle school basketball league this year.
