I have many low income students with limited experiences outside the city limits. The students love coming to science and are eager to learn. They are always asking questions and we are able to look up information together. I am fortunate to have a Promethean board to show videos, pictures, and PowerPoint's pertaining to the subject we are studying. I use as many hands-on and real-life activities as possible. I want my students to love science as much as I do. So I have to give them experiences that connect to their lives which allows them to remember the information being taught.
