Hello, my name is Mr. Groetz, and I teach in urban Canton, Ohio at the Early College Academy. My students are inner-city 8th graders that are highly motivated with goals of going on to college. They come from a diverse city, in which most would be categorized as economically disadvantaged. Many of our students, in fact, will be the first generation in their family to go to college. So, as one can see, we have a host of inquisitive minds, but we don't often have the funds for the fantastic projects and technology that it takes to fully engage them.
