My students are amazing. Although the majority come from low-income homes and/or a rough family background, they still have so much joy. They are all very different, yet have the same drive and spirit for learning. I think I learn more from them than they learn from me. Our school is a Charter. We are very lucky to have the best staff, administration, and PTO around. The building that we are in was transformed from a warehouse to a school. Because of this, we are very limited on space. Our classrooms aren't fancy or big, we have a lot of traffic jams because of the small hallways, and there aren't very many places to use the restroom like there are in a regular school. Despite it all we somehow make it work without missing a beat.
