The technology item I'm requesting for my class already has a purpose. I know exactly what it will be used for. I've planned ways for my students to use this iPad for presentations and research. Many of my students have never used technology as a tool to present to their peers. They'll use the iPad to present math demonstrations and research current and past science and social studies events. It's perfect because they can walk around the room as they use it. They won't be confined to one area. This iPad will help boost their confidence and reinforce their technology and academic skills.
