Flexible seating gives students freedom and ownership of where and how they learn. Whether it be sitting, standing, or laying, students should have options that are most suitable for them and their learning. They can lay on the carpet to read and write. Students who have a difficult time focusing while sitting at traditional desks can choose wobble seats or stability balls. The products I have selected to add to our classroom will promote responsibility and independence through choice. Each day students can explore their seating options. They can reflect on the areas they have previously chosen, then choose what is most comfortable and conducive to their learning style.
