Our 3rd grade classroom is full of a diverse group of young learners. We use a variety of multidisciplinary lessons to reach our students in different ways. Our school focuses on growing the child both as a learner and a person. We stress respect for each other and ourselves and we believe that every day, we can learn something new. Our school has students who could greatly benefit from the opportunities the "Maker Space" movement can provide. I hope to introduce students to planning, developing, creating and presenting projects that they design and plan themselves. While it will take time, our school should see a direct benefit to the critical thinking skills our students will develop with this movement. The excitement for creating is here, now we just need supplies!
