My Spanish students are freshman in the International Baccalaureate program at Land O' Lakes High School. Students come from all across the county to be a part of this special learning community that emphasizes the importance of developing internationally minded individuals to promote a peaceful and sustainable future. My students will be learning to think and express themselves in another language to increase their understanding of other cultures and their ability to collaborate with others peacefully and productively. In order to communicate creatively and confidently in a second language by the end of their high school career, my students need to build a strong foundation in the ninth grade.

About my class
