This project will provide hands-on learning opportunities for 25 Lower Elementary Montessori students. The materials will be used for both in class and at home as students explore their natural world through the arts, music, science, language, cultural studies and personal creativity. On level literature will allow students the opportunity to access texts that are relevant to the content they are learning in class and that addresses their current reading levels while they are learning from home. The Primary Phonics sets and nonfiction literature provide opportunities for students to read a variety of genres and texts. Art supplies will also be used to enrich in class and at home projects by allowing students the opportunity to create and use hands-on materials as they explore a variety of topics including: natural habitats, solar systems, and art education.
