Since the pandemic, my students are eager to be back in the science classroom and ready to learn! I want to give my students the best education they deserve and make up for lost time. The Apple iPad Pro will allow me to conduct class experiments all students can see well, interact with students while presenting power points, and assess student learning quickly. Sometimes I conduct class experiments, since it's not always possible to have all students do all the labs. The Apple iPad Pro will allow me to set it near the experiment with the camera on and display it on the screen. This helps all my students to learn by seeing the experiment up close even if they are seated in the back. In addition, I teach students using power points I've created, sometimes with step-by-step directions and pictures as they take notes, complete a project, or engage in a lab. I like walking around the room to assist students, check for understanding, and answer questions. It's difficult to do when I'm tied to my computer at the front of the room. The Apple iPad Pro will allow me to freely walk around and interact with the students while moving through the power point. Finally, I can conduct assessment while walking around, talking to, and observing students. With thirty-five to forty students in a class, it will allow me take anecdotal notes, give feedback, and assess students learning quickly and easily. There are many uses for the Apple iPad Pro in the classroom, but I know this one piece of technology will benefit all my students, improve my teaching in the classroom, and foster a love for science!
