Nowadays, everything is done through technology- from homework to paying bills. I am trying to provide my students with the opportunity to use technology they may not have the means to implement at home. I am requesting Mini iPads with cases for my seco graders to use in my class. Receiving the iPad Mini's would allow my students to explore a new world of online education. They will be able to enhance their fluency and comprehension by reading books through MyOn. They can also create books with programs like Book Creator, which will open their imaginations while promoting learning. Sites such as Reflex Math and Mathletics will reinforce skills learned during class. This use of technology will allow my students to keep up with their classmates that have the resources to succeed.
