The use of technology in the classroom is being increasingly required and encouraged, but in my school the hardware to do so is very limited. If this project is funded, my students will be more engaged in the lessons being taught, which will in turn increase their level of learning. We, as teachers, must connect and "reach" our students before we can "teach" them. What better way to do this than to teach with an instrument that will excite them, hold their interest, and broaden their life's potential! The technological experiences the students will have using these tablets will better prepare them to be more marketable, and enable them to compete for the jobs/careers of the future.
