I teach in South Dallas, in a school where 99% of families are economically disadvantaged. The odds are against them. Although they don't know it yet, their zip code alone will have a tremendous impact on their educational experiences. Yes, my campus struggles for resources. Sometimes it seems that this makes my job that much harder. However, there are 20 reasons that I wake up everyday and give it my all--my kids! My students push me to be a better teacher daily. They love to learn, and can take on any challenge I throw their way. They are SO full of life, and I am proud to be their teacher!
