LIKE MATH? Help my students like math too!!!! I am very proud about being a high school teacher in the school district that I live in. The work that I do and the help and assistance I get through donorsChoose directly helps the community I live in. Currently, I teach 9th grade special education math. I also work in a collaborative classroom teaching math and next year I’ll teach geometry. My students are ambitious and excited teenagers. Some of my students deal with many struggles. They come to school to feel safe and to learn. Many of my students are considered minorities. My students make me want get up every day to teach them and make their lives better. I strive to have a welcoming and warm classroom for my students. I try to create a space where my students feel safe and have what they need so they can be ready to learn.
