My students come from typically low-income families and a majority of our students have parents who have never gone to college. This town is a farming town- many of our parents work in the fields. My school has a focus on one-to-one technology and having the students develop 21st century learning skills. My students in particular are very driven to leave their town and make their impact on the world. They are curious and really want to challenge themselves.
