My classroom goal is for students to fall in love with reading. I also want them to become independent thinkers. By engaging students with complex texts that make them ponder the world around us, they become better readers and better citizens. I teach 8th grade reading to students in a low income, urban community. The majority of my students receive free or reduced price lunch. Despite some of the challenges they face in life, they are amazing children with a love for learning. By donating to my projects, you are giving these children the education they deserve!
