All we need are supplies to make our project happen! We need supplies such as black acrylic paint, brayers, white drawing paper, and Scratch-Foam sheets. This project will allow my students to work with their hands and make something together that will be displayed on our hallway wall. Students will analyze a work of art by Damian Flores, which was recently displayed in Etla, Mexico. My students will each sketch a part of a piece of ancient pottery found in Mexico. They will copy their sketches on Scratch-Foam sheets that they will use to print out their individual pieces and place them on the wall together to form the complete piece of pottery. Next to this piece, they will include the actual Scratch-Foam sheets that have black acrylic paint left on them. These sheets will be placed randomly as if they are shards of the pot. Together, the pot and the shards will form the exhibit.
