I have Kindergarten-4th grade that come as classes for media center time. K-2nd comes for 30 minutes twice per week and 3rd-4th comes for 50 minutes once per week. They seem to love the media center, and I try to make it enjoyable, but we need more to do. I also have PreK, 5th, and 6th grade that come in to check in/out books throughout the week. Our school is great! This is my first year in the media center, and in previous years, there were no activities or interesting things do in the media center. I've been adding activities and lesson plans to make it more interesting for them. We have a new principal that is very interested in getting STEM projects integrated into classrooms and the media center, and I think this is a huge step in the right direction.
