Let me introduce you to my class: they are a group of 19 diverse, loving, creative 7 year old's who enjoy school and LOVE learning. In my classroom I have SIX students who speak Arabic, THREE who speak Spanish, TWO speak Turkish, ONE speaks French, ONE speaks Urdu, the rest are English speakers. Due to the diversity of languages spoken in my classroom, 12 of my students are significantly below grade level and need extra support in the classroom. I believe this iPad will provide a much needed resource. It is a proven fact that one key of success is being read to - My students need to be hearing and reading along in ENGLISH. Many of their parents are simply not able to provide this valuable learning tool. My school allows me the flexibility to teach my students in the way that best suits the students. I love my school but being a public Charter School funding is limited for supplies like this.
