We have a very diverse population at our school. We have students of all different backgrounds, ethnicity, and socio-economic backgrounds. Most of our kids though are minorities and come from low socio-economic backgrounds. We are a Title I school with more than 80% of students qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. Our school is a fairly new school and we are starting to build our athletic program, especially the baseball program. Sports are very important in this community and we need to ensure these kids continue to have an opportunity to play organized sports.
