This printer will open up a whole new world of communication. The pictures will stimulate learning in math and science by providing them with visual aids to express themselves. What they lack in verbal skills will be compensated with a visual exchange system to enrich their learning. Each unit of their curriculum can be modified by creating a low-tech communication system. For example, if we are studying a unit about trees, my students can be provided with pictures of parts of a tree. They cannot say the names of the parts, but they are quite capable of communicating by pointing.
