I have several students that prefer to not sit in traditional chairs. They are more comfortable and can work and focus best in flexible seating. The metal chairs in my classroom also take up a lot of space around my small group table and are heavy for my little students. Having these wobble chairs will allow us to have more space to work and learn. Students will also feel comfortable and will be able to get some much needed "wiggles out" safely. Working with small groups is vital in first grade. I am able to better meet students' needs, whether that means giving a group of students more support or challenging students that have already mastered the skill. I pull reading, writing, and math groups so our small group table is used very often. These flexible seating options will make a world of difference for my students!
