As you probably know, many schools have very small budgets when it comes to provide items for the classroom. That does not keep schools from making set curricula that involve books that we, as teachers, do not have access to. My students are currently trying to read a book that the school has a total of ONE copy of (and by the school, I mean my personal copy). Students are left to read these books on their phones or just listen (not the best way to learn), and often have three to four students reading off the same phone. Providing copies of the mandatory reading for these kids would allow two students per book and would greatly improve their success.
