I didn't become a teacher because of the summer's off, or because middle school students are SO easy to work with, or because I LOVE giving tests :/... Let's be honest, there are days when I come home and am surprised I have any hair left on my head, but every morning, I wake up and greet every student who enters my classroom with a smile: A new day means new opportunities. Opportunities that I want my students to experience, enjoy, and remember after they leave my classroom for the day, the year, and so on. If at the end of our time together, my students walk away as better person, then I feel as if I have done my job, because let's face it: They make me a better human being. My students teach me something everyday: Patience is usually at the top of that list. Ultimately, I just want my students to understand that I truly do care about their well-being and about their futures.
