Students at my school are building the habits of strong readers, and are required to have an independent reading book with them at all times! We are trying to instill in them a love of reading that will last them their whole lives. I want kids to be able to choose books that are just right for them from a variety of different genres and from authors who look like and write about people who look just like them. Because they read so much, we need some new titles to ensure that they find books that appeal to their developing interests. Our homeroom has several English-language learners and it would be amazing to also give them a selection of Spanish-language books that they can read while they learn a new language.

About my class
