The donations requested are an important piece for growing readers. My students don't have access to books at home, so their reading time at school has to be meaningful. We make it meaningful by giving them choices on their level in reading. These book bins will hold the students' books that they have chosen from our classroom library. They will use the books in the book bins for independent reading time and keep them with them all day. The bins have to be sturdy enough for daily use. The more they read, the better they become at it. When they read daily, they grow in their reading.
