This is my first year teaching first grade and we need a rug. It is so important to build a learning environment where students feel loved and that they belong. At our carpet student will be reading together and sharing their stories. We will sing at the carpet and dance together while learning! The carpet is a safe place to share our feelings and dreams. It is a place we go when we learn new things and meet new friends. Having a carpet in our first grade classroom is essential in starting the year off as one solid unit! Let the team building begin!
