With the changing Missouri Learning standards, our students in elementary need easier-to-read biographies and informational text centering on Missouri and some of the state's most influential citizens. These books will beef up our state & local and biography collections. These resources will help students see how Missouri and it's people have grown and changed through out time. Most importantly, these resources will aid students in their research projects for the classroom and the library. Students will learn when and how to cite sources, distinguish between primary and secondary sources, and use information creatively. These skills are needed now more than ever!
