A charging laptop station would allow me an opportunity to charge all laptops overnight. We have 5 outlets in the room totaling 10 charging opportunities. Students are having to sit on the floor, take turns charging, and some have had their laptops shut off in the middle of their work. I want to give them a laptop daily that has enough charge to last throughout the school day. This way we aren't taking turns, tripping over cords or even sitting on the floor to be close to an outlet. We need daily charge to be successful for the day! For 96% of my students, the use of the school laptop is their only chance to use technology. My students rely on me to have a fully functional laptop that they can go straight to work on. However by not having a laptop cart I am unable to charge their laptops or even secure the laptops. We have already had a laptop go missing this school year. With a charging laptop station I will be able to charge the laptops and lock them up each day to keep them secure and ready for my students for the next day. This laptop charging cart will serve two functions in my classroom. The cart will allow me to charge computers and keep them secured each day.
