The use of the internet to research, find news articles, conduct Webquests and use Google Classroom and Google Docs is hindered by my classrooms lack of working computers. Having new Chromebooks would mean that my students get to learn technology skills, media literacy skills, research skills while engaging with the Social studies content. It would make an enormous difference in preparing these young folks for a successful college career. Currently there are three classrooms sharing about 15 working Chromebooks, which becomes difficult to navigate around 3 different curriculums. A set of Chromebooks for my classroom would mean that every day students could use this resource to learn.
