These materials would really allow my students an opportunity to explore, build, ask questions, solve problems, and build confidence in themselves and their learning. We can use the materials to work together as a team, as well as by working in groups. I love being able to tie reading into my math skills with children's literature which allows me to build interest.I can use the manipulatives to differentiate the needs of my students using these materials as I guide them to being the best mathematician they can be. I am looking forward to seeing their excitement when they are learning and doing! The chart paper will be used as we brainstorm and learn multiple strategies so that we can have these hanging around the room for reminders. The manipulatives provide a hands on approach and encourage a deeper understanding, while making learning more fun! I also found some awesome resource books that I can use to encourage them to persevere, and take on challanges. The 3rd grade curriculum is a challenging one, and I think these items will really make a difference in my classroom.
