Welcome! We are a budding primary class at one of the oldest public Montessori schools in the country: Capitol Hill Montessori @ Logan. As a DCPS graduate, it is my joy to come back to my roots and continue my work in educational justice in my hometown. After 3 years teaching middle school in a Title I New Orleans Charter School, I realized that I needed to learn a lot more about how to close the opportunity gap in public education. I learned two things: 1) start young and 2) learn first. I sought Montessori training and am thrilled to put her life-changing work into practice. This year, I am starting a new class of three-year-olds. I will continue with these students for the next 3 years, growing to a mixed-age 3 to 6 primary classroom by 2020.
