The students are bright and creative first graders who are excited about learning.They are wonderful storytellers, artists, and mathematicians, and my goal is foster their curiosity and love of learning. One of the ways I can do this is through the use of a Thermal Laminator and various sizes of Laminating Pouches where reading and math flashcards can be created, and artwork can be protected. My students come from a wide variety of demographic and economic backgrounds - over 40% of our students participate in the reduced or free lunch program. My school has a very supportive environment with students and teachers who are creative and focused on academics. It is slightly rural in that it is bordered by woodlands and a creek.
